It amazes me how people think ‘wellbeing’ means a lack of real living, it simply isn’t true
In the spirit of the millennial I am, Stay out late, Order another drink, Get dressed up for no reason other than it feels good. Stand underneath an obscenely beautiful chandelier in a room that’s far too loud and completely lose track of time. But more importantly, embrace it.
The point isn’t to live perfectly. It’s to know yourself well enough to understand what fills you up, what drains you, and what you need in between.
Sometimes wellbeing looks like an early night, essential oils and ten quiet minutes to yourself.
Sometimes it looks exactly like drinks, dancing & a tiny bit of excesses.
This is the doctrine everyone at the Modern Hedonist lives by. I am all about reclaiming your sense of self in a conscious, wellbeing led way, lets face it ‘Reclaim your sense of self’ is literally my brands USP. However there is no defined written rule anywhere that the hypocritical wellness, wellbeing vulture culture that swirls around social media requires you to redact all the fun from your life.
Sometimes you need to ignore the algorithm, the influence & trust your gut, your brain is your own.
Cheers to Autumn!
